about
Night Shift Stoneware is a small-batch pottery business owned and operated by me, Miranda Bassett. Each piece is made by hand in the lakes region of New Hampshire with a focus on functionality, simplicity, and durability. I love texture and am intentional in highlighting the raw clay in my work. I embrace slight variations within each individual style, accepting the beauty in the handmade, all while being mindful of how each shape works together as a collection.
I'm Miranda, owner and ceramic artist of Night Shift Stoneware. I am a mother first and a registered nurse by profession, but I love to create and use my hands. Almost twenty years after my first experience with clay, I was given the opportunity to make mugs for Wayfarer Coffee Roasters in Laconia, NH, and so I turned the basement of our house into a small studio and got to work. My hobby was taken to the next level as the positive response from my community surprised and energized me. After working in my basement for 3 years, I moved up to a more suitable studio space and, since then, have been focusing on creating place settings, drinkware and other functional housewares. I'd love to someday have a huge community dinner table set with my stoneware. Thanks for your support!
